Elasto-Gel technology has proven to be an effective pressure relieving gel and is combined with special fabrics and closed cell foam to provide effective heel protection. The gel insert is adjustable within the boot to allow total coverage where desired. In addition, the gel provides thermal properties which allow the application of hot or cold therapy. Two sizes and two styles are available. For the ambulatory patient we recommend the HL406 or HL407 as the outside fabric of the boot has a non-skid rubberized bottom which provides traction and stability when walking short distances. For the non-ambulatory patient we recommend the HL408 or HL409 as the outside fabric of the boot will slide easily against the sheets and move with the patient.
